How to install the Search Console plugin
The Search Console plugin is available for free in the plugin repository of WordPress.org. Once installed, you will receive automatic updates as with any other plugin in the repository.
You can install the plugin in several ways. The easiest method is directly from the WordPress dashboard.
Installation via the plugin dashboard
- Access the page Plugins → Add New In the WordPress dashboard.
- Look for "Search Console."
- When the plugin appears, select "Install" and then "Activate."
- Search Console is now up and running!
Manually upload the plugin files
Alternatively, you can download the plugin files from the plugin list on WordPress.org and load them manually.
- Download the .zipper file of the plugin from WordPress.org.
- Go to the page Plugins → Add New In your WordPress dashboard.
- At the top of the page, click the "Add New" button.
- On the next page, click the "Upload plugin" button.
- Click the "Choose File" button and navigate to where you downloaded
search-console.zipper
On your computer. - Click the "Install Now" button to install the Search Console plugin.
- On the next page, find Search Console in the list of installed plugins and click on the "Activate" link.
- Search Console is now up and running!
- Once Search Console has been installed and activated, you should consult the Getting Started Guide for more information on setting up and using the plugin optimally.
To install the plugin, search for "Search Console" on the wordpress plugin page and install following the usual procedure.
Once the plugin is installed, a new "Search Console" menu will appear in the WordPress panel.
Settings
To begin viewing your data, you will need to have login credentials.
To get credentials, you will need to create a new project at Google developer console.
